The poetry of yoga

Earlier this week I was attending a Roots of Yoga session. One of the students asked if what she missed from last week's class could be summed up in three sentences. I responded by saying if given an hour, I could try nailing it in a haiku.

As a result, I started writing yoga haikus ...

1.
each nostril a door -
left ida, right pingala;
your breath spins their coils.

2.
warm night garden air
headlights bathe my corpse pose then
i rise from the dead

3.
plank up dog down dog
inhale exhale smile and breathe
where did the time go?
